Now, we want to hear from you – the public – and we hope that you will join us to share your ideas on what you like about Tuxedo, what you’d like to change about Tuxedo, and how we can work together to create a new energy here in town.

Appointee for Town Board Position and a few, more pleasant items

Hi all. Here’s a few items for your consideration.

Closed-Door Politics at Work Again

I just wanted to let everyone know about a special Town Board Meeting that is to be held Monday, June 29 at 7pm at the Town Hall.

The only item on the agenda is to enter into executive session to interview possible appointee to the Town Board.

None of the individuals that I know have expressed interest in running in November have been called in for an interview, and the way the resolution is written, it seems THEY ARE ONLY INTERVIEWING ONE CANDIDATE. I have heard a rumor that the individual is the wife of the planning board chair. If this is the case, two individuals on both the Planning Board and the Town Board will have spouses serving on the other board, and there will again be no representation from the northern part of town anywhere.

That doesn’t exactly sound like a fair process to me.

Please attend this meeting to express your frustration at the extremely closed-door administration which we still seem to be dealing with, despite many promises of transparency, openness, and inclusion.

Pilgrim Pipeline Information Session

St Mary’s Episcopal Church
Fox Hill Road, Tuxedo Park
Thursday  – July 9th  – 7PM

A presentation to the town about the Pilgrim Pipeline conducted by a Scenic Hudson.
