Thanks to everyone who came out on Sunday! It was a great event, with a good turnout, and I thoroughly enjoyed meeting those who I didn’t know and seeing again those I did. The Executive and Social Committee heard such great feedback from everyone, I am certain we will do another event. If you want to volunteer to be a part of the Social Committee to help organize one, please contact us!
I just wanted to make a few announcements as follow up:
- We have a website! Go to https://northtuxresassoc.wordpress.com/ to check it out. As time moves on will we add more information and content. Please contact us if you feel something is missing.
- Our next member meeting will take place on October 23 at 7:30pm (location TBD). We will hold Executive Committee elections again, as mandated by the NTRA constitution. Details will follow.
- PIG ROAST ON SATURDAY! The Sterling Forest Firehouse (1664 Long Meadow Rd., Tuxedo) is hosting a Pig Roast and Clambake from 1:00-6:00pm (Drinks at 1:00pm, Food at 2:00pm) on Saturday September 13, rain or shine. On the menu: roast pig, steamed and raw clams, BBQ chicken, hot dogs, drinks and salads. Tickets are $30.00/per person and are limited, so reserve yours right away. Visit with neighbors and support your community. Call 351-5768, 351-2534 or 753-2859 for more information.
- One of your neighbors is organizing a team for the breast cancer walk at the Woodbury Commons on October 19 and is hoping for your involvement! Visit the event page to support Joanne Birnberg or her team (RackPack).
I think we can do more of this as I expect many people in the neighborhood are active in areas that would be of interest to everyone. We are figuring out the best way to communicate, so I hope you will be patient and understanding as we go through our growing pains!
Thanks again to everyone and hope to hear from you!
