We need your help to create Trail Town: Tuxedo!

Hi everyone!

Some of the concepts to rejuvenate Tuxedo are finally coming to fruition! We’d love to have your involvement: this Saturday at 9am at the Tuxedo Train Station is our first community meeting and the following Saturday, we are looking for volunteers to help provide information to the trail-goers visiting our town.

See below for details. We need your help to situate Tuxedo as NYC’s “first stop in the country”.

Hope to see you there!

Kristy

Volunteers Needed:  Hikers Kiosk at Tuxedo Farmers Market

Hikers from Tuxedo and the NJ/NY Trail Conference are planning to have a Kiosk at the Tuxedo Farmer’s Market June 20-October from 8:30-Noon. The purpose is to help hikers find the best trails in Sterling Forest State Park and Harriman State Park. Many hikers stop in at the Farmer’s Market to buy food.  Often these hikers have questions. We will have Trail Conference materials including maps for purchase.

We would like to encourage hikers to return to Tuxedo many times and to stop at our food establishments after hiking. Many hikers come to Tuxedo by train or bus to start their hikes. Others use the parking lots in town.

Needed – a 2 ft x 4 ft folding table to use for our Trail Conference Materials

Volunteers are needed to staff our Kiosk.  If you can help, email carolinelav@verizon.net and the link to SignUpGenius will be sent to you.

Any questions email carolinelav@verizon.net or call Caroline Lavanhar 351-2474
