Just a reminder of the annual meeting this Thursday, October 23 at the American Legion off Orange Turnpike (behind the old Corner Deli and the Auto Body shop). Click here for the location on Google Maps.
In addition to the annual meeting requirements (where we must elect officers and update members about the activities of the organization) we are using this opportunity to provide some information about issues of interest to our area including:
- Updates in regards to items brought before the town governance over the last few months, such as: Sterling Forest Casino, Watchtower request for changes to the International Paper property they now occupy, Tuxedo Farms and the YMCA, the budget deficit, and others
- The annexation issue in Monroe, which will affect MW Central School District (Presentation by Emily Convers, Jon Allegro and Mary Hanson)
- The possible location of the Pilgrim Pipeline
Since the latter part of this meeting is informational, it is open to the public. If you think there is someone who is not a member of NTRA who might be interested in attending, please forward this to them (and encourage them to join!). The informational part of the meeting will be held immediately after NTRA’s annual meeting.
Thanks and I look forward to seeing you all on Thursday!
